Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the role of the piano as a didactic instrument for children. Thepiano offers a great motivational aid in music education and provides an important aid inspecific musical activities designed for children. A model scenario, developed by the author, presents a wide array of piano exercises that can be adopted during music lessons.They contain progressively structured musical activities, which are playful in characteras well as suggest a specific teaching pedagogy.
