Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to discuss the role of Dionysus in the cultural profile of the area of Seuthopolis pointing out that an official cult of Dionysus was worshipped on the agora and a second aspect of the worship was clearly related to the afterlife ideology in Seuthopolis.
