Summary/Abstract: Even though judgements of medical courts are not recognised, by the legal system in this country, as judicial precedents, and thereby do not create novel legal norms but merely constitute practical interpretation of particular legal regulations – still, taking into consideration the provisions of Art. 76 of the Medical Code of Ethics, in cases not provided for in the Code, the principles articulated, among other things, in decisions of medical courts should be followed. And therefore, the views and arguments featured in the grounds for the judgements made by the Supreme Medical Court (SMC) are exceedingly important in practical functioning of medical courts. Hence the need to render selected SMC rulings available for publication seems unarguable, and this is what the current discourse – presumably only fragmentarily – is meant to convey. Selected decisions of the Supreme Medical Court of 2015 are included therein.
