Summary/Abstract: Our inventory of goods at the congregations of the Reformed Deanery of Erdővidék took place from 2008 untill 2011. In this study we present the still existing textiles dating from the 17–18th centuries. In lack of contemporary written documents we had only some inventories dating from the 19th century and a few manual sketches made by László Debreczeni in the 1930’s to reconstitute the original textile stock. The total of 29 existing textiles was grouped by their usage: tablecloths and kerchiefs; different type of covers and tapestries. The linen tablecloths can be divided further more: a part of them were decorated by white laces and drawn thread works, the other group being formed by pieces richly embroidered with coloured silk threads. The kerchiefs were made of linen or cotton, they had emphasized asymmetrical motives in their corners, which were embroidered with coloured silk threads and metallic yarns. The woven silk kerchiefs represent another interesting group where the geometrical patterns characteristic. Special textiles covered the cantor’s pulpit, technically showing similarities with the kerchiefs but having a special longitudinal form having the embroidered motives placed only on the two ends of each object. Till now the covers of the pulpit-parapets were absent from the bibliography, hence, in our study we present two different types of them. Based on the textiles found at the congregations of the Reformed Deanery of Erdővidék, we can conclude that they fit perfectly in the entire Hungarian Calvinist textiles from the Carpathian Region. At the same time there are some especially valuable pieces like the communion set donated by Rákhel Kendeffy or the parapet cover on the pulpit of Köpec (Căpeni) donated by András Balás in 1765.
