Summary/Abstract: The article presents the image of twentieth-century Polish emigration fund in the films produced by Video Kontakt studio in Paris. Its main thesis comes down to the statement that it was no coincidence that first the studio focused on the activities of people and emigration culture institutions, including, most importantly, “Kultura” magazine. Next, it created films about prominent Poles, mostly soldiers and statesmen. This is connected with a further thesis which proves that there is a parallel between Jerzy Giedroyć and his editorial staff’s “work at the core” and its modern equivalent – the activities of Mirosław Chojecki’s emigration studio in the 80’s of the previous century.
