Summary/Abstract: The matter under consideration is Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz's ontology. The author presents the main assumptions of the theory of biological materialism and analyzes their connections with categories: metaphysical feeling and the Mystery of Existence. In addition to this author considers the relations between biological materialism and the philosophy of history by Witkiewicz.Przedmiotem rozważań jest ontologia Stanisława Ignacego Witkiewicza. Autor prezentuje podstawowe założenia teorii materializmu biologicznego oraz analizuje ich związki z kategoriami: uczucia metafizycznego oraz Tajemnicy Istnienia. Rozważane są również związki materializmu biologicznego z tezami historiozoficznym Witkiewicza.
