Summary/Abstract: Social acceptance of some norms means an agreement on their realization. The condition of acceptance may also concern behaviours or views. Legal norms of individual branches of law may reflect social views, but sometimes they contradict with them. Separation of individual law branches is connected in different ways with the concept of social acceptance. Regulations of criminal law concern in many instances behaviour that is not socially accepted, whereas administrative law and civil law usually concern questions that are accepted by the community. Separation of sciences researching individual branches of law is also associated with the phenomenon of social acceptance
