Summary/Abstract: in this article i deal with the issue of the relationship between the minority status of communities of nonbelievers and the degree of materialization their irreligious culture. My argument is that discrimination and stigmatization which are both an effects of being minority are the main causes of lack of material manifestation such groups culture. I would like to show how that process occurred for non-religious cultures, with particular emphasis on the Polish context. After that i show what kind of changes take place in this eld during the twenty- rst century. for several years in the Western world, including Poland, one may see the visible ongoing process of materialization of non-religious culture. I pay my attention to analyze causes and symptoms of this process.
