Summary/Abstract: Bataille n’est pas un philosophe. Il est plus proche d’Aristide que d’Aristote. Son érotisme ne débouche sur aucune fusion, mais il est cet énigme inavouable, qui n’a pourtant rien à voir avec la communauté définie commetelle par Blanchot, fût-elle celle des amants. La vérité bataillienne qui s’énonce dans le lourd langage tantôt pornographique, tantôt obscène, n’a finalement rien d’érotique. Bataille is not a philosopher, as he seems to be closer to Aristide than Aristotle. His eroticism dos not open into a fusion but it is rather the unavowable enigma. The latter,however, has nothing to do with community defined as such by Blanchot, even though it is the community of lovers. The truth of Bataille, speaking out through his awkward language now pornographic, now obscene, cannot be associated with any form of eroticism.
