Magic elements in the prose of Ádám Bodor and their effect on the later generation of young writers

Summary/Abstract: The study explores the occurrence of topographic indicators in the novel Zone Sinistra writtenby Ádám Bodor in 1992 and translated into several languages. The main focus lies on thepost-magic structures which appear in Bodor’s texts. The author analyses the relationshipsbetween the magical realist features mentioned in the literature on Bodor and Bodor's mentalrepetition of the dominant Eastern orthodoxy in the region, as well as the way in whichthese elements function in the works of other authors of the younger generation – Zsolt Láng,György Dragomán, Sándor Zsigmond Papp and Gábor Vida.
