Sport and communication in public discourse: participation

Summary/Abstract: The paper concentrates on the presence of football lexicon in Polish public discourse. Special emphasis is put on the notion of Bauman’s liquid modernity as an important constituent of the modern world. The notion is connected with language and lexicon change, particularly with the lexicon of languages for specific purposes. The paper underlines the importance of interpenetration between the football lexicon, common lexicon and political lexicon.
