The paper draws on Sergei Eisenstein’s of shot composition treating major compositional elements such as ‘leading’ and ‘indirect’ lines, ‘mass’ and ‘weight’ of the objects, the rule of thirds (golden section), colour, lighting, etc., in relation to viewer’s perception.
