Summary/Abstract: The present paper focuses on the problem of ascertainment of dialectal sources and ways of spread of the handicraft names of the printing trade borrowed from German and their distribution in the Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian languages (Pol. druckarz/ drukier, zycer/ zecer, Ukr. гисаръ/ гисеръ, друкар(ъ)/ друкарь, зицер/ зицєр, Bel. друкар(ъ), зицеръ). The problem of distribution of compound words is also considered. The German dialectal source is studied on the basis of comparison and analysis of written recollection of German and Slavonic languages.
