Realizations of Bilingualism in Kashubian Literature

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issues associated with the author’s realizations of the phenomenon of bilingualism in the Kashubian literature. Bilingualism has been recognized as a phenomenon manifested in the case of literary works at the macro level (extra-textual plane), and micro level (inter-textual plane). Bilingualism has been the basis of the creation of the Kashubian literature (in the Kashubian language). It achieved the largest value, as a literary trick, in narrative works. The specific realizations of bilingualism, presented in the article, conclusively demonstrate high artistic value and unique place of the „small” Kashubian literature it occupies in the Slavic literatures in this area.
