Summary/Abstract: The roots of corporate social responsibility go down very deeply, but only in these days this concept has become an important paradigm of an enterprise’s activity, with consumers’ expectations acting as the catalyst for that. Given a choice, consumers look not only at the quality and price of a given product, but they also pay attention to the fact of whether its manufacturer is committed to the so called social welfare. However, the interest in practical solutions in the area of corporate social responsibility varies in the context of a country, enterprises operating on its territory but also – consumers’ expectations. The paper presents a case study of activities undertaken by a company that exposes itself to consumers’ protests while taking decisions to optimise its tax solutions.
