Summary/Abstract: After World War II a global stereotype of a German has acquired a new meaning. In post-war Polish and Belarusian literature the perception of German people as war criminals dominated. In the article the author analyzes Janka Bryl’s novel “Birds and Nests” and Leon Kruchkovsy’s drama “Germans”, which offered a new way to see so called German problem. The author shows similarities and differences in the way fascism, psychology of a Nazi and “an ordinary” German citizen are presented.
