Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to justify the need to indicate instruments, solutions and ways to collect funds and then satisfy the financial needs of an ageing society. The authors suggest that there is a need to extract a pension financial market as a financial market segment focused on the needs of older people, which requires a precise indication of instruments and solutions for the protection of their needs. Financial institutions should find the way to develop a kind of philosophy for the financial retirement market. This philosophy should also take into account the social responsibility of the financial sector towards an ageing society.
