Summary/Abstract: The procedure of changing the Constitution of Ukraine in 2004, 2010 and 2014 raises considerable concerns about the conformity of those changes with the country’s Constitution. The amendments can be clearly evidenced to have stemmed from the intention to achieve current political objectives. Successive amendments to the Constitution were introduced by blatantly defying legal standards which was the reason for their later revocation. The situation was quite similar when President Viktor Yanukovych was deposed. The paper also discusses the influence of the mass social movements named the Orange Revolution or the Euromaidan on the Ukrainian State authorities.
