Summary/Abstract: Over time, contemplations of mountains throughout centuries and historical processes, was suffering great structural changes; they had to take into account social changes in the period from 18th to 20th century; this brought the changes up close and made them more understandable. Still, and well into the Modern Age , mountains were anticipated as spatial regions linked to fear; at best, they were looked at with little, id any, interest; or sheer indifference.
