Summary/Abstract: For the Good News in the books of the Old and New Testament to become more readable for people living today, it is essential to take the dialogue between faith and reason. These two foundations which provide truth about God, the world and ourselves, are the basis for dialogue between theology (faith) and philosophy (reason). This paper synthetically presents a difficult task, which should be carried out by researchers of the Bible to draw conclusions from its teachings. These conclusions ought to combine different faiths and religions, they should not provide arguments for divisions of mankind, but, on the contrary, form the basis of its unity. This task will be possible through the adoption of new philosophical methods in biblical studies, especially the philosophy of language, philosophy of history, and also discovering the importance of existential philosophy in the study of the Bible.
