THE EVALUATION OF STRUCTURE OF LITHUANIA EXPENDITURE ON PUBLIC SERVICES IN THE CONTEXT OF EU COUNTRIES

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to evaluate a public services structure of Lithuania. A public services structure in the article is defined as Government expenditure‘s comparative distribution in Government incomes. According to Governments structure of expenditure on public services analysis, expenditure structure of Lithuania is closest with Latvian and Estonian structures but pursuant to a used method, public expenditure structure of Poland is assessed better than Lithuania‘s. Calculations showed that if Lithuania expect a progress towards convergence with developed countries public expenditure structure, the comparative share of expenditure on social security should grow the most but the comparative share of expenditure on health security and education should go down. The method used in this article – cluster analysis.
