Summary/Abstract: The financial statements are a basic element of the accounting activity because they represent the basic way of communicating the information to the users. All components of the financial statements have to offer a true image over the company’s financial position, performance, capital’s modifications and treasury flows, for that period, being useful for evaluating the strategic plans and the company’s and its managers’ accomplishments. The company’s accounting system is formed as a selection and measurement mechanisms, but also as a synthesis of the activities developed under the shape of financial information. It is worth mentioning that due to the technological development, the financial-accounting management has to be aware of the possibility to generate each of this financial statement on profit centres, for a better analysis of the developed activity. The third millennium company’s accounting activity must be based on the principle: “the information’s quality: the survival condition of the economic tornados”. It is not enough to have advanced technologies, well-arranged facilities, professionally competent personnel, if you do not know how to provide the information requested for satisfying the demand, to gain trust so that, when the situation becomes unpleasant, you can count on the others’ help. This information offer is made through the financial situations, elaborated by the company, in concordance with the requests formulated on the “accounting information” market.
