Summary/Abstract: This paper aims firstly to identify the types of investors that operate in the capital markets and their rights and obligations. Capital markets are markets with an increased risk; investors operating in these markets may register spectacular gains or losses depending on how prices evolve for the traded shares. As a method of protection against risks arising in these markets has increased the use of options strategies. These strategies vary depending on the price trend of the action and the types of investors calling them. Each investor will choose the type of strategy that best fits to his needs. Finally we will conclude if these strategies using options are really effective and useful for investors.
