Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on Pavel Florensky’s antinomies of space based on the analysis of colours within artistic expression, which arise from their symbolic aspect. Considering that the basis of symbolization consists of the hidden nature of human existence, the union of a man and the world, Florensky draws attention to the non-manifested – the inner, invisible world, which is presented iconographically as a holy space.
