Summary/Abstract: Changes occurring on the labour market and demographic trends make it difficult for enterprises to possess employees with desired competencies. This ”war for talents” situation concerns both big companies as well as small and medium firms. Available studies present diversified approaches to the matter of talents and managing talents. However, they mainly refer to research done in big, international companies. The article is aimed at presenting the significance, determinants and specifics of talent management in SMEs as well as proposing a model depiction of the issue.
