Summary/Abstract: This study from north-eastern Slovakia concentrates especially on how the local informal economic activities and ethnic segregation had been affected by longterm transformation of village property. The analysis emphasises the changes in the property relations, segregation and the informal inter-ethnic economy which run from 1994 to 2001. This presentation is a partial result of the project “Migration into the Czech Republic, Social Integration and Local Communities in the Country of Origin – Ukrainians, Bosnians and Romain Slovakia” , in the Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
