ASSESSMENT OF MANAGERIAL PERFORMANCE THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF A MODIFIED EDWARDS-BELL-OHLSON MODEL

Summary/Abstract: This paper proposes a novel method for assessment of the quality of the management of a company. Its conceptual finding is the fundamental analysis model known as the Edward-Bell-Ohlson valuation model. It creates a single summary statistic that synthesizes key indicators from a company’s financial statements. The approach is appropriate for the assessment of the management of closely-held companies or public companies traded in inefficient markets.
