Summary/Abstract: One of important social policy functions is a regulative function. It affects different kinds of social and individual activities through its principles and aims, as well as family life. Nuclear family has been a reference model for family policy so far but nowadays people live in different kinds of families, for example patchwork family, non-married couple, monoparental family, childless married couple. What kind is “normal” family? What kind should be strengthened by social policy? This is one of most important questions.
