Summary/Abstract: A lack of trust and silent contempt is a lasting trend in Romanian society. People in my country tend to be very critical about one another and to blame each other for the negative aspects of being Romanian. As part of the first generation after communism,I choose to be more optimistic and remember how far the country has come from those difficult times before 1989.
