Summary/Abstract: Armenian migration to Russia began shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union and continues to grow year by year. Most leave their native state for better work opportunities in the north. Yet, with estimates of 1.5 million Armenian migrants in Russia, the exodus of Armenian males has started to take its toll on the society.
