Summary/Abstract: Russian military moves in Ukraine and their consequences are the key factor which has essentially changed the context of European Union policy in Eastern Europe. The developments in the region have forced the EU to clearly declare its goals, which include making consistent efforts to integrate with the region. The question remaining now is whether there is enough will to achieve these goals.
