Discussing the conceptions expounded by St. Augustine, Aristotle, Mircea Eliade, Francis Cornford, Lucien Lévy-Bruhl, Maryla Falk, and John S. Mbiti relating to ancient Greece and India, Christianity and African religions, the author attempted to capture the essence of the paradox of time, and to describe the moment of the transition from myth to history.
