Summary/Abstract: Based upon a previously published article regarding the collection of French eponyms adapted by the Romanian language, certain inferences can be made in regards to their assimilation by the target language. They have mainly entered our language due to the need of the Romanian reality to coincide with the trends and discoveries of the world, in the 19th century. Regarding the technological, scientific and cultural fields, these terms well surpassed the initial limits, adapting, just like any living organism, to the natural evolution of their adoptive language. From these, the most noteworthy eponyms are the ones whose meanings exceed their original semantic value. Their lexical presence and value, evident in both common speech and jargon, are grounds for their support towards naturalisation.
