Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the revolting, rebellious nature of the works by the contemporary Lithuanian writers M.Ivaškevičius, S.Parulskis, H.Kunčius, R.Šerelytė, J.Fomina, which were published in 2004. Combining V.Kubilius’s insights and J.Kristeva’s ideas developed in her book Sens et non-sens de la révolte, a certain literature is seen as a culturerevolt, able to save us in contemporary robotising world. One form of the revolt is anamnesis, i.e., the narration, repetition, and transformation of the traumatic, untold, and suppressed experience either of the narrator (in the texts by S.Parulskis, R.Šerelytė, J.Kunčinas, R.Gavelis) or the nation.
