Summary/Abstract: This article aims at analyzing the natural setting that influence the tourism in the South-West of Oltenia and proposes development strategies in accordance with the requirements and necessities of clients, with regard to tourism services. Within this context, it is important to analyses the tourism market in this area, to establish new objectives and to find the best strategies and policies that would lead to a continuous development of the area from an economic and social perspective.
