Role and meaning of tourism in development planning of North-East parishes in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents meaning of tourist functions in sustainable development of parishes located in north-east Poland. The research works were made in 2010-2012. In the paper it is concluded that tourist attractiveness of analyzed parishes, resulting from very profitable location, landscape valors and clean environment make that realization of tourist function is a very important of strategies of presented parishes. That acknowl-edges the idea that rural areas of north-east part of Poland create good conditions for various form of tourism development.
