Financial situation of hospitals in the context of commercialization process

Summary/Abstract: Polish health care model undergoes and passes numerous transformations, and currently it is a result of different concepts and models. Introduced legal regulations have recently allowed, and since 2011 obliged hospitals in specific cases to carry out the process of commercialization. According to assumptions commercialization should lead to the increased efficiency of hospitals, generatating by them positive financial results. The aim of this article is to analyze and assess a financial situation of commercialized hospitals. A comparative analysis of selected financial parameters generated by the commercialized hospitals and public hospitals has been used to achieve the article’s goal.
