Summary/Abstract: Basically, naturalism is the idea or belief that only laws of nature and forces operate in the world or the belief that nothing exists beyond the natural world. Adherents of naturalism assert that natural laws are the rules that govern the structure and behaviour of the universe, that the changing universe at every stage is a product of these laws. In the discussion about the mutual relation between science and religion repeatedly occur arguments which say that (1) science is naturalistic and (2) naturalism is in the straight confl ict with religion. The consequence is that science remains in the permanent conflict with the content of religion. The aim of submitted paper is to focus on the problem of this conflict with the regards to diff erent moments of naturalism.
