Summary/Abstract: On purpose and power orientated approach to truth concept shows its limits. They are the limits of self-restriction and self-immunization facing the call towards further knowing. The scientifi cally propositional truth concept and a desire to assure oneself facing the inconformity which truth demands ex principio lead towards inappropriate simplifi cation and thereafter to deformation of truth perception itself. This two examples of restriction of truth concept are representative patterns of modernity in Western mental world. Their structures prevent them to see critically their historical status quo of their epistemic validity. An approach to bring their predominantly epistemological accent to its omitted ontological bases opens the possibility to incorporate the post- -Heideggerian metaphysical and on Sein focused advance to the questioning about the truth and its corrective consequences for sciences and daily life.
