Summary/Abstract: From the perspective of the critic and essayist Ion Dur, a fair interpretation of culture is a correlative undertaking between history, criticism and philosophy. The analysis made by Ion Dur, based on such a hermeneutical project, emphasises the critical phase of Romanian culture and the failure of the post-revolution Romanian criticism. The conclusions are not encouraging at all, but there are solutions.
