Gilbert Durand: the femininity under the sign of duality

Summary/Abstract: In the era of « feminisms » Gilbert Durand proposes an interpretation of femininity, through an anthropological grid trying to see the man in his whole in relation to positivist and historicist syntagmas in the first half of the twentieth century or postmodern relativism at the end of the same century. In this sense, we chose the term « dualitude » used by Gilbert Durand and his student Jean-Jacques Wunenburger to interpret the durandian feminine imaginary and the problem of femininity today.
