Summary/Abstract: This text presents the testimony of Miladin T. Radović, a baker from Uzice, about the fire in this city in 1862 and the emigration of Muslims from this part of Serbia. In the introduction notes the basic facts are given regarding the context of this incident. The testimony shows that the fire was set deliberately in Muslim area in Uzice with intention to speed up the evacuation of Muslims prior to the decision regarding this was brought at the international conference in Kanlica near Istambul.
