Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of the linguistic research carried out at the very Grodno region in the summer 2015. Through the investigation of the old historical documents and other sources the author identified the areas of concentration of the Polish nobility old settlements near Grodno. The special interest is devoted to the language of the Indura city nobility living on the river Swisłocz. The sociolinguistic characteristics; phonetic and grammatical features of the language, as well as the glossary of the local population are discussed and presented in the article.
