Summary/Abstract: The aim of multicultural education is to contribute to the progressive trans- formation of the society, the application and establishment of social justice and equal- ity. In this paper the authors’ intention is to observe and deal with the possibilities of implementing the contents of multicultural education into the traditional curriculum both in the form of particular courses (such as Civic Education) and through the intro- duction of contents into different courses. It is also important to have a complete view of the way how and in which form the courses are implemented so that they could be accepted and processed in the students’ systems of values. Thus, while planning the teaching process a clear vision should be developed on the pre-conditions for teaching and learning, class features, features of the students individually and understand stu- dents in all of their differences. This speaks in favor of the inclusion of the multicul- tural curriculum into various areas , especially urban areas in which there is the over- power of multiethnical student groups. The multicultural curriculum, which is in- cluded into the main educational package, is the first attempt towards the goal to offer a combined input on the observed differences into the civic society.
