Summary/Abstract: The finance and banking sector in Switzerland is one of the most important and most regulated sectors of the economy. Importance of this sector in the Alpine country is related to its attractiveness in the global markets and its role in the economy of the Swiss state. In recent years in the Swiss financial system have been significant changes. As a result of the global financial crisis on the international arena were discussed the possibilities and range of instruments and regulatory approaches. Various aspects of the regulation of the banking sector have also been subjected to criticism in Switzerland, for example, the amount of bank capital, liquidity adjustment of capital and customer protection. The activity in the construction of stable mechanisms of functioning in the financial sector should be coordinated, focused and consistent; all groups should be involved in the financial sector, including regulators and government bodies. Important for the existence of such coalition in Switzerland may be just the same position on efforts to strengthen the reputation of this sector and its reorganization.
