Summary/Abstract: This paper points in creating the new methodical formula in enterprises localization analysis basing upon regional strategic groups making up the regions agglomeration with similar features regarding sector attractiveness or position and competitive potential. An analysis of regional groups made during survey allows to propose possible strategic activities both for the regions and the enterprises localized on their areas. Elaboration shows also the applicative opportunities of proposed tool basing on motor sector in regional approach for Poland. Basing upon relationship analysis between competitive position in motor industry and potential attractiveness of Polish regions – the leader is Silesia region. Selective strategy can be recommended for Great Poland region but supporting strategy based on selective growth can be recommended for South Silesia and Mazovia. Market leaving strategy can be recommended for the rest surveyed regions.
