Summary/Abstract: Considering the fact that lapidary constitutional texts regarding the relations between Romania’s President and Government have been interpreted differently by the inhabitants of Cotroceni and Victoria palaces – leading to various juridical conflicts of constitutional origin – several voices were heard suggesting the modification from the mixed regime to a parliamentary one. Our conviction is that the simple modification of the Constitution in order to achieve the above mentioned purpose fails to settle the current issues and does not constitute a warranty for an efficient and stable government. Nevertheless, the revision of the Constitution must be carried out, especially to improve and complete the present regulations, and their re-systematization in the interpretation we presented in this article should prevent events of the nature of those hereby commented upon.
