Summary/Abstract: The 1920-1930 decade was extremely active for the Romanian diplomacy, since the preservation of the country’s territorial status-quo was the major component that Romania’ foreign politics relied on. The Little Entente was a regional alliance that was highly appreciated at that time, in which the Romanian state played an essential part. Last but not least, this decade is also characterized by the lack of any diplomatic relations with the Soviet Russia, despite recurrent bilateral meetings. This is accounted for by the fact that the communist regime in Moscow refused to recognize the de jure inclusion of Bessarabia into the Kingdom of Romania.
