Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author is presenting – in the Polish German Philology – a new research literary method; in the German Philology – a main research literary method from the 90’s-a literary anthropology. The aforementioned literary research method is particularly important for exploration of the 18th century, when philosophy and philosophical anthropology were significant reference points for the literature and they both determined a present-day vision of the human being. Reaching back to the source texts allowed the author to polemicize with the widespread opinions, for example with a thesis about the potential faith of the Enlightenment in the almighty reasoning or possibly ignoring the reflective senses of the human being. The awareness of the imperfect sense apparatus of the human being and the need to improve it led to the inception of aesthetics.
