Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to outline a projection of the Romanian medical terminological system on the overall plane of language vocabulary and determine the interferences that occur within „interstylistic” projections, namely, within the relations between medical terms belonging to specialized languages and common terms compared to their lexical correlatives from other stylistic registers. A special attention is given to lexical omonymy, paronymy and meronymy, semasiological categories less analysed within medical terminology. From the point of view of terminology, therefore, the lexicon of a language consists of the many separate subsystems representing the knowledge structure of each subject field or discipline. Each knowledge structure consists of variously interlinked concepts and medical terminology can be analysed from this perspective, namely the lexicalsemantic one.
